Allen Lee
Harmon
August 30, 1959 – February 8, 2022
Allen left this earthly world in his sleep, at home, in the early hours of Tuesday, February 8, 2022. He was known for his friendliness and loved to make people laugh.
Allen was a good mechanic and could fix almost anything. His favorite and biggest project was restoring a VW dune buggy which he painted bright yellow. Much fun was had in it.
Allen was born in Cushing, and raised in Howard, KS, graduating from West Elk High School in 1978. After school, he moved to Houston, TX, and began welding to construct car washes that his older brother Larry designed. (Larry preceded Allen in death, July 2019) Allen married in Houston, and to this union a son, Keith, and a daughter, Kristen, was born.
Eventually he returned to Cushing, OK, where he met and married his current wife, Rita. He then acquired three more daughters.
In the past four years, his health declined, and he battled off and on with depression. Yet, his love for God and family was most important in his heart.
Allen was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Patricia (Moore) Harmon, and one brother Larry. Survivors include: his grown children Keith and Victoria and family, Kristen D. and Jake McKnight and family, also in Houston, TX. Four grandchildren, Jayden, Karli, and Raigen and Parker. He regretted not being able to see them and be in their lives.
In Oklahoma, he leaves behind wife, Rita (Mack) Harmon and her three daughters, Stephanie, Jessica, and Kristen T. through who he gained five more grandchildren, Shealee, Camden, Meleah, Harper, and Leo. Also survived by one brother, Ray and family and sister, Anne, and her family along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Peace is his now as he entered into eternal rest. Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing is handling the arrangements. The family asks, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made toward costs at Blue Sky Bank, 224 E. Broadway, Cushing, OK 74023.
Condolences may be sent to the family via an online guestbook at www.palmermarlerfh.com .
