Obituary

Amber Villafranco passed from this life on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at the age of 47.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home.  A family run memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Lawson Cemetery.

Amber Villafranco was born Amber Lee Morgan on May 2, 1977, to proud parents, Hobart and Carol Morgan. When Amber was young, her mother, Carol, remarried to James Rich. A man who already had two children, Allen and Cari Rich, James took Amber in and loved her as one of his own.

Amber grew up in Yale, Oklahoma. Although born with a disability she never let it slow her down. Amber attended Yale Elementary School. The teachers there loved her. Sporting her bright red curly hair and full of life, she enjoyed school and found socializing very easy. In 1995, Amber graduated from Yale High School.

In 1995, Amber would marry the love of her life, Santos Villafranco. They had a deep love for each other and that love lasted 29 years. In 1999, Santos and Amber had a daughter, Alycia Carol. Just like Amber, Alycia was full of life with intelligence and beauty to match. At the age of five Alycia's life was cut short. This tragedy would test the strength of her parents and although they moved on, the loss was apparent for the rest of their lives. Santos provided for Amber the way only a good husband should. She never wanted for anything, always being content with what she had.

Amber embraced life, taking every opportunity to spend time with her family and friends. She enjoyed all her family, her grandparents, cousins, uncles, aunts and especially her aunt Donna. The two grew a bond at a very young age which lasted a lifetime.
After Amber's husband died in 2021. She moved in with her mother. Together they both relied on each other and became very close once again.

Amber was preceded in death by her father Hobart, stepfather James, husband Santos, and daughter Alycia.

Amber is survived by her mother, Carol Rich; one sister, Cari Rich; one brother, Allen Rich and wife, Dyanne.  Amber is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
