Angela
Easter
October 29, 1964 – September 30, 2021
Angela Gay Weir was born Oct. 29, 1964, to Earl & Carol Weir in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Soon after, she became a big sister to her brothers, Eric and Aaron Weir. While she only had two biological siblings, she had many more "brothers" that came in tow from the church and neighborhood. Because of this, she learned early in life how to be a tom boy and hold her own when it came to obstacles in life. She always loved telling of building go carts, swimming, and keeping up with all of the boys.
Some of her favorite childhood memories were of going to her grandparents houses in Tailholt and spending time with her cousins.
She started her walk with the Lord at the young age of 13 on a cold winter day in February 25, 1978. She told of how they had to cut the ice in a swimming pool in order to be baptized by her Dad, Earl. This was a walk she took seriously and made living the faith the forefront of her life's decisions.
In early teen years, while she was sitting in church in the "old white building", the love of her life walked in through the wrong doors to find himself standing behind the pulpit in front of the whole church. It wasn't long before they pledged their life love to each other on November 27, 1981. They celebrated their reception in the home of Earl and Carol Weir.
True to how they chose to start their marriage, at a young age their family grew 10 months later with the birth of their "Sunshine" Miranda Lee Easter. Miranda was followed two years later with the birth of Merissa Carolynn Easter. Their family growth was finished with the birth of their last child, Trenton Wesley Easter. She took mothering and homemaking as a full-time job and did everything with care. She stayed busy teaching school, doing chores, and setting an example of the faith to her children. Just as in childhood of inheriting siblings, it stood true as a Mom as well. Many children, and some adults, spent time in her home and soon adopted her as Momma Easter.
Angie's life was dedicated to serving God and taking care of her family. Cooking, cleaning (sometimes waking the family at 2 am with sounds of the vacuum) teaching, practicing hospitality, taking food to those in need, and the list continues on and on.
Following in the footsteps of her Mom, Sis. Angie was used in the gift of working as a midwife. She was asked to be present with numerous mothers as God allowed them to bring life into the world. Because of this, she was able to witness and testify of countless times God worked miracles.
At a young age, Angie experienced major health issues and became bedfast for months. Her faith never wavered. But as she proved her faith and trust in the Lord through fires of tribulations, her children and Husband were able to witness God's power. They saw relief given, life when there should have been death, handling serpents in the name of Jesus while in bed, and praising God in the midst of the storm. She was an example to so many friends and family, they were all able to draw from this example in times of their own trials and tribulations.
Angie passed peacefully from this life on September 30, 2021, at her home in Tulsa, surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by Father-in-law Erwin Easter Sr., Mother-In-Law Kareth Easter and daughter, Miranda Thompson.
She is survived by her parents, Earl and Carol Weir; Husband, Wes Easter; her children, Landis Thompson, Merissa and husband Brandon Day, Trent and wife Amie Easter; siblings, Eric Weir, Aaron and wife Tammy Weir; 11 Grandkids + #12 on the way; and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
