Barbara Alice Skinner, longtime Yale resident, passed from this life on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at her home surrounded by family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 7th, 2019 at Fairlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 6th, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing.

Barbara was born on August 27th, 1943 in Cushing, OK to Roy and Ruby (Harmon) Jennings. Barbara was raised and attended school in Wichita, KS, graduating from North High School. After finishing school, Barbara married Howard Preeo. They had four loving kids together: Becky, Connie, David, and Jerry. Later Barbara married Lester Skinner and to this union had one child, Timmy.

Barbara was hairstylist in Yale for many years, owning her own hair salon. Later in life, Barbara and her sister, Karen opened a concession stand with a snow cone machine and traveled all around the state. She was also a loving mom and made sure her kids had everything they ever needed. She loved crafting, sewing, and collecting antiques. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family playing cards and sharing stories.
Barbara was loving mother, sister, and friend. She will be missed by all.

Barbara is survived by one stepmother: Alice Jennings; three children: Connie Preeo, Jerry Preeo, Timmy Skinner; five siblings: Terry Watts, Gary Watts, Roy Jennings, Steve Jennings, and Eric Jennings. Barbara is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Ruby Jennings; two children, Becky Hill and David Preeo; one brother, Eddie Jennings, one sister, Karen (Jennings) Dry; two half-brothers, Glenn Jennings and Jeff Jennings.
