Berna Dineo Heilmann, Dineo as we all knew him, was his mother's namesake. He was born on August 31st, 1960, in Pawnee, Oklahoma. He was born to Lola Bernadine Berry Hopkins, and Billy F. Heilmann, both deceased. He is survived by his stepmother, Pat Heilmann, three sisters, Debi Hyle of Tulsa, OK, Bonnie Holtzen of Red Rock, OK and Renee' Heilmann of Cool, CA; two brothers, Billy Bob Heilmann of Red Rock, OK and Todd Heilmann of Tulsa, OK. Dineo is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and his fur baby, Troy. He was preceded in death by one brother Barry Roper of Tulsa, OK. Dineo left this world to be with his Heavenly Father on Saturday, April 25, 2026.

Dineo loved his pets. Two of his favorite pets would be Bastian and Troy. Both were Boxer dogs that Dineo loved taking pictures of and telling stories about on Facebook.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at Palmer Marler Funeral Home. A celebration of Dineo's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 4, 2026, at the Kinzer Performing Arts Center in the Dineo Heilmann Auditorium. A public graveside will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at Lawson Cemetery in Yale, Oklahoma.
