Billie June
Cooper
November 20, 1949 – February 23, 2022
Billie June (Nuttle) Cooper of Oilton, Oklahoma was born in Blythe, California, on November 20, 1949, to William Robert (Bob) Nuttle and Velma June (Lemmons) Nuttle. She died at home on February 23, 2022, at the age of 72. Billie married Davy Cooper and they had one daughter, Amy June Cooper. She also had two step-children, Randy Cooper and Misty (Cooper) Gilland.
Billie was a long time Oilton resident. Her work history included retail sales, manufacturing, beautician, cosmetology instructor, and food service. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Oilton, Oklahoma.
Billie was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and June Nuttle; one brother, Ronnie Nuttle; and two sisters, Sally (Ray) Gruelich and Debbie Green. She is survived by her daughter, Amy June Cooper of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; one sister, Bobbie Sue (Ray) Willis of Ellinwood, Kansas; one brother, John Nuttle of Oilton, Oklahoma; brother-in-law Ray (Sally) Gruelich of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; step-children, Randy (Adrienne) Cooper of Wellston, Oklahoma, and Misty (Shawn) Gilland of Wasilla, Alaska. She also leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Billie was fondly known as Aunt Billie by nieces, nephews, and their families. Like all of the Nuttle children, family was an integral part of Billie's life and she would do everything she could to help her family in any way needed. Billie never possessed material wealth, but her wealth was that of faith, love, character, responsibility, helpfulness, and kindness. She was more of a behind-the-scenes type of person who never demanded nor attracted a lot of attention, but could be found diligently doing whatever was needed without concern for recognition.
