In his final years, he returned to preaching for his family at Golden Oaks. He also volunteered as a companion for Karman Legacy Hospice, and outside of his faith, he loved woodworking, fishing, antiquing, and connecting with people.

He is survived by his younger brother, Delmar D. Jordan; his children, James A. Jordan and Elizabeth A. Jordan; his daughter-in-law, Lee A. Jordan; 8 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 24th, at 10:00 AM at Tryon Cemetery.
