Carlton "Lynn"
Wells
April 16, 1954 – July 16, 2022
Carlton Lynn Wells passed from this life with his family by his side on July 16, 2022, at the age of 68. His care has been entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Oilton, OK.
Carlton, better known as Lynn, was born on April 16, 1954, to Carl "Chubb" Wells and Callie (Nelson) Wells in Cushing, OK. Lynn went to school in Drumright and graduated in 1972. From there he worked in the oilfield and at Webco for numerous years. Not long after he began working, he married the love of his life, Yvetta Kennedy. To their union were born three children, Gennifer, CL and Curtis.
Lynn decided that he wanted to go back to school at OSU to become an Ag teacher. He started teaching in Olive, OK and later taught in Calvin, OK. Unfortunately, medical issues caused Lynn to have to retire early. However, he was still able to find enjoyment in golf and bowling. He had a heart of gold and loved to meet new people. He was active in church and went on many mission trips to Mexico. He loved to write songs about Jesus and was part of a singing group that met every Tuesday to sing the Lord's praise.
Lynn is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Yvetta.
He is survived by his children Gennifer Dudley and her husband Jon, CL Wells and his wife Traci and Curtis Wells and his wife Megan. His grandchildren Austin, Ryan, Ashlynn, Garin, Shelby, Garrett, Chloee, Chance, Chelsea, Isaac, McKinsie, Ashton, Conner, Jovi, and Vetta and one great-grandchild Charlie. His sister Judy Cartwright and her husband Rick, and brothers Tommy Wells and his wife Kathy and David Wells and his wife Susie. His mother-in-law Sylvia Kennedy; along with numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
