Carrol "Carrie" Glenetta Banwart was born on October 24, 1951 in Watonga Oklahoma to Earl and Colleen Burton. Carrie passed away from this life on October 14, 2020 at home in Perkins Oklahoma.

Carrie was raised as an only child, with multiple cousins from both sides of her family.
She went to various high schools due to her Dad's job search and location and ended up graduating from Corn High School in Corn, Oklahoma in 1970.

That same year, she met the love of her life, Robert C. Banwart. On August 12, 1972, she married Robert Banwart in Watonga OKlahoma. From their marriage, their son Christopher K. Banwart was born. They were married up until her death, for 48 years.

Carrie was a big supporter of school activities and anything to help the kids. She spent most of early adult years, being a stay at home parent. But as their son got older, she would invest in different type of business opportunities. She has opened a Toy Store in Watonga and worked various customer service jobs. She also spent several years working as a dispatcher for the Okeene Police Department. Her and Robert was class parents for the class of 1993 in Okeene.

In her later years, she focused on her grandkids and doing what she could for them.

Carrie is preceded in death by both her parents. She is survived by her husband Robert, of the home; her son Christopher, of Perkins, and her four grandchildren; Brandon, Dani, Jasen, and Jaxen of Perkins.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Cushing.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday October 21, 2020 at the Cottonwood Cemetery in Hitchcock, OK with Roger Shaw officiating.
