Cherie Lanette Kelly passed from this life on September 16, 2019 in Cushing, Oklahoma.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Oklahoma.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 23, 2019 at the Chapel of Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Oklahoma.  Rev. Bill Allton will officiate.

Cherie was born on June 25, 1969 to Gary Douglas Wilson and Sheila Ann Henderson in San Jose, California.  As a child, Cherie grew up in and attended school in California and at the age of 22 moved to Oklahoma.  She fell in love with the small-town lifestyle of Cushing and wanted to make this her home.  Cherie had a vibrant personality and was always the life of the party.  She could throw together a party in no time flat and greatly enjoyed being a hostess to guests she welcomed into her home.  Cherie was a known "the photo bomber" being found somewhere somehow in most family pictures.

Above all Cherie loved Jesus Christ her Lord and Savior.  She was a prayer warrior always willing to pray for and with anyone who needed it.  Working as a CNA for many years she displayed what a true servant's heart is time and time again.  She would make soup for those that were sick and shut in, then pray over it the whole way as she drove to deliver it.  Her greatest joy was being a mother and "mimi" to her dear grandchildren.

Cherie is preceded in death by her father, Gary Douglas Wilson and one sister, Danielle Jenine Wilson.

Cherie is survived by her mother, Sheila Ann Holland and husband, Spence; one daughter, Britny Ann Tanner-Smith; two sisters, Tina Holland and Angel Holland; two grandchildren, Ethan Parker Smith and Tatum Kenna Smith; one aunt, Darlene Latham.
