Making music and writing was a constant source of joy throughout his life. He also delighted in the holiday celebrations- one of his favorites was the Fourth of July, approaching the holiday with the excitement of a child—buying fireworks and making the day memorable for everyone around him. Cleo enjoyed shooting pool or grabbing his fishing tackle with friends and family.
Baptized into the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn, Cleo spoke often of his Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, His Great Love, and His Faithfulness towards him throughout his life. Alway encouraging others to turn to Him and place their faith, hope and love in Christ's finished Work at Calvary.
He was preceded in death by his parents Pete V. Martinez and Beulah Glendola Martinez; his sister Sandra Bond; and his brothers, Charles Martinez and Danny Martinez.
Cleo is survived by his sister Darlene Herrmann, six children and sixteen grandchildren.
