Colleen "Toadie" Geyer, a longtime Oilton resident, died on December 21, 2021 in Stillwater Medical Center, Stillwater, Oklahoma at the age of 89. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 27, 2021 at Highland Cemetery, Oilton, Oklahoma. Pastor Larry Calvert will officiate. Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Oklahoma.
Toadie was born on December 18, 1932 in Hominy, Oklahoma to the late Andrew and Juanita (Sizemore) Weaver. She grew up in Oilton, graduating from Oilton High School in 1950. Toadie then attended Draughn's Business School in Tulsa. While her soon to be husband Jimmy Dale Geyer was on leave from the service, they married on January 13, 1951. To this union, Beverly was born. They made their home in Oilton, Drumright area. Toadie worked for Tippins Grocery Store in Oilton for a few years. They were Lifelong members of the First Baptist Church in Oilton. She taught Sunday school for many years, just loved spending time with the children. Toadie worked for Dr. Hesson in Drumright for over 15 years then began working for SpiritBank in Oilton until she retired. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, and crocheting. Toadie had a servants heart, everyone was welcome in her home and always enough food for everyone.
She is survived by her daughter Beverly Hensley and husband George of Oilton, step-children Matt and Mary Ann Deeds Davis of Houston, TX and Johnny and Jackie Johnson of Oilton, brother Shafter Weaver and wife Barbara of Ardmore, grandchildren Michael Ryan Hensley of Oilton, Amy Freese and husband Clinton of Lake Mary, Florida, great grandchildren Austin Barnett, Abby, Chloe and Kyton Hensley, Rhett, Asher and Ridge Freese, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and other family and friends.
Toadie is preceded in death by her parents, husband Jimmy Dale Geyer, sisters Patricia Overstreet and Grace Gemmell.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church in Oilton.
