Dana Sue Matthews, a longtime Cushing resident, passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2019 in Cushing, Ok.    Arrangements have been entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home.  Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at Free Will Baptist Church, Cushing, Ok.  Pastor James Coffelt will officiate

Dana was born on October 23, 1974 in Cushing, Oklahoma to Jim and Vickie (Franklin) Clemons.  She grew up in Cushing, graduating from Cushing High School in 1992.  Dana enjoyed photography and camping.  Dana married Brad Matthews on September 28, 2002 in Shawnee.  She traveled to Las Vegas and worked in Olan Mills Studio after she graduated from high school, later returning to the Shawnee area.  She was very proud of her children, Joshua, Aleah and Jaylee and was a good mother to each of them.  Dana moved back to Cushing and was baptized at Free Will Baptist Church as an adult.  She sold advertising for a short time at the Cushing Newspaper.

Dana is survived by her husband Brad of the home, children Joshua Matthews and wife Mattie, Aleah Clemons and Jaylee Matthews, mother Vickie Case and husband Clifford, brother Gunn Clemons, niece Karly Clemons, numerous other aunts, uncles, family and other friends.

Preceded in death by her grandparents Doris and Marvin Franklin, her father Jim Clemons, and uncle, Mike Franklin.
