Daniel Edward Dawson passed from this life all too soon on January 19, 2024.  His care has been entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing, Oklahoma.

Daniel was born on September 30, 1973, to parents Dan Dawson and Marlis (Wilson) Suttles in Downey, California.  Daniel went to school and graduated from First Assembly of God Christian School.  He was the only child born to Dan and Marlis but was not a spoiled son, instead, Daniel grew up to be a caring individual, always making sure everyone was taken care of, and especially mom.  He loved to help people and was giving to a fault; however, he was full of orneriness with a bit of stubbornness.  That stubborn nature worked in his favor though, ensuring family and his country was respected and looked after to the best of his ability, no one allowed to mess with either one.

Daniel was preceded in death by his dad, Dan Dawson, all his grandparents and some of his favorite four-legged buds: Taz, Candy, and Molly Blue.

He is survived by his mom, Marlis Suttles; cousins, Sherri Jackson, Dawn Ryan, Christian Ryan, Chloe Ryan and Ashley Robertson; and Mike Baker who was like his own brother.

A visitation for Daniel will be from 4PM – 8PM on Friday, January 26, at Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing, Oklahoma.  Funeral services will be at 2PM on Saturday, January 27, at Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel in Cushing, Oklahoma.  Pastor Jeff Craig will be officiating.
