David Peters went home to Jesus on July 31, 2023, at age 66.

David Peters was born to Abram and Maria Peters on November 24, 1956, in Durango, Mexico.
In his boyhood, he lived in Belize, Mexico, Ontario, Florida, and Texas. David Peters married his
wife, Lisa Friesen, in Texas on September 18, 1983. He lived in Texas until the family moved to
Oklahoma in 1994, where he lived until he passed away.

David leaves behind his wife, Lisa, and their eight children, Jacob (Luann) Peters, Abraham
(Kayla) Peters, Rebecca (Caleb) Shetler, Sara (Caleb) Cassidy, Joseph (Darlis) Peters, Deborah
(Jeremy) Shetler, Damaris Peters, and Andrew Peters.

He also leaves behind nineteen grandchildren, Austin Peters, Joshua Shetler, Keith Peters,
Matthew Shetler, Brittany Peters, Chloe Peters, Darius Shetler, Donald Cassidy, James Cassidy,
Timothy Shetler, Adele Cassidy, Karisha Peters, Katrina Shetler, Jax Peters, Jocelyn Peters,
Nathaniel Shetler, Nayeli Shetler, Samuel Shetler, and Lanae Peters.

In addition to being a dedicated and loving husband, father, and grandfather, David also loved
visiting with people, singing and playing his guitar, and spending time outdoors. Throughout his
life, he held to his faith in God, which he shared with those around him.

David was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Anna and Elizabeth; and brothers Abram,
Abram, and Isaac. He is survived by siblings Jacob, Maria, John, and Margaret.
