David was born in Oklahoma City, Ok to Maxine and Leroy Reece. He was raised in Yale where he spent the majority of his life.

David married Debra Prince and they had 3 children Jamie, April and Shely. Debi passed away in 2015.

In 2016 David met and married Betty Jo Brown.  Betty jo passed away in 2023.

David is preceded in death by Maxine Reece- mother, Leroy Reece- father, Tom Reece- brother, Debi Reece- wife, and Betty Jo Reece- wife.

David is survived by his children Jamie, April, Shely. His siblings Bill, Steve, Jerry, Diana, Piper, and his 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
