David Amarine
Walker

Parkland Cemetery
2:00 - 3:00 pm (Central time)
David Amarine Walker was born July 11, 1970, in Midwest City, OK to Amarine Walker Jr. and Patti Lu Walker. When David was 8 years old the family moved to Mustang, OK. David attended Lakehoma Elementary School and graduated from Mustang High School in 1988.
He played basketball and ran track. Soon after graduating, he went to work for Saia Motor Freight and worked there for 22 years before starting his own freight brokerage in 2016.
In December 1996, he met Tamie Toles. They became inseparable and after a few months were engaged. They married the following December and made their home in Mustang, OK. In 2004, they welcomed their first child, a daughter, Lauren Elizabeth. She was a Daddy’s girl from the beginning. Their path over the next few years led them to Agra, OK where David & Tamie enjoyed raising their daughter around family, then a brief move to Grand Junction, CO. In 2009, they made their home in Derby, KS and in 2011 welcomed child number two, a son Brady Scott who he cherished. David worked hard for his family. He coached both children in basketball, enjoyed yearly beach trips, and taught them to fish.
David would say his biggest accomplishment in life was his family. When it came to his children, he handled everything with kind, gentle hands and a loving heart. David's family was the most important thing in his life and it showed. He was truly a kind man and his love for God and family directed his life and decisions.
In 2025, Lauren married Blake Scharenberg. David welcomed his new son-in-law with open arms. In May of 2026, it was Blake that went with David to Florida for a last resort treatment for his cancer. They spent 3 months trying to get well while taking in all the fishing they could. David developed a deep appreciation and love for Blake, as not many men would leave his new bride to care for his father-in-law. Treatments were unsuccessful, and David returned home in declining health, but he never gave up. His favorite thing to say was "Let Go & Let God" which he repeated over & over tohis family. David had a love for Jesus and never stopped praying for a recovery. His love for life & family kept him going in dark days, and he would not give up without a fight. David's fight came to an end October 25, 2026. He was surrounded by family as they never left his side.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Patti Lu Walker and is survived by his wife Tamie, daughter Lauren Scharenberg and son in law Blake, son Brady Walker, Father Amarine Walker Jr, and wife Barbara, sisters Kristy Pempin and husband Matthew and Jennifer Ventris and husband Matthew, father-in -law Jim Toles, mother-in-law Janene Stevens and sister-in-law Kimberly Sweet and husband Tory. Many nieces & nephews, and an amazing group of extended family and friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 1, 2026, at Parkland Cemetery in Agra, OK.
