Dee Wilson-Fields, cherished life partner, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on August 14, 2026, in Cushing, Oklahoma.
Dee was born on April 30, 1962, in Ronceverte, West Virginia, to Edwin Boone Wilson and Barbara Booth Wilson. Weighing just 2 pounds, 14 ounces at birth, Dee came into this world a fighter—and she carried that strength, determination, and resilience with her throughout her entire life.
Dee spent the first 16 years of her life in West Virginia before moving to Florida with her sister. Florida became home for the next 18 years and was the beginning of many of the adventures and friendships she would collect throughout her life.
While working through Pipeliners Union Local 798, Dee met her life partner, Wade Fields. Together, they shared an incredible 18 years filled with love, laughter, traveling, and countless friendships that quickly became family. Life on the road brought them many adventures, but in 2016, Dee traded traveling for something that would become even more precious when Timbraly Fields came into their lives and home.
After settling down, Dee began working at Granny’s Restaurant in Stillwater, Oklahoma, where she eventually became a manager. Dee absolutely loved her job and the people she met along the way. During her years at Granny’s, customers and coworkers became friends, and many of those friendships lasted a lifetime. Dee had a way of making people feel welcomed, cared for, and like they were part of her family.
Of all the places Dee traveled, the people she met, and the adventures she experienced, nothing compared to being a mom and Grandma.
Dee was happiest when her home was full—full of laughter, animals, family, and the sound of little grandbaby feet running across the floor. Those were the moments that filled her heart the most. Her family was truly the center of her world, and she made sure they never had to question how deeply they were loved.
Dee will be remembered for her strength, her love, her fighting spirit, and the way she turned friends into family wherever life took her. She loved fiercely, welcomed wholeheartedly, and leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will continue to be shared by everyone fortunate enough to have known her.
Dee is survived by her life partner, Wade Fields, and their daughter, Timbraly Fields, of the home, her children, Chuck Fields and partner Audra; Jordan Fields and wife Laurena; Jared Bass and wife Ashleigh; Clay Fields and wife Carrie; Jessica Hakel and husband Bobby; and Julianne Barela and husband Matt; her sister, Deborah Weisel; and four half brothers, George Wilson, Stitch Wilson, Lynn Wilson, and Eddie Wilson
She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren: Kenzie Fields, Addisyn Fields, Averye Fields, Emelyn Fields, Lucie Fields, Ellie Youtsey, Jack Bass, Annie Bass, Parker Barela, Hudson Fields, and Henry Hakel.
Dee was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Barbara Wilson, and her sister, Denise Wilson McIntyre.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Euchee Valley Memorial Park.
Though Dee’s journey here has come to an end, the love she gave so freely remains in the family she cherished, the friendships she made, and the countless lives she touched. From a tiny 2-pound, 14-ounce baby who entered this world fighting, to the strong and loving woman who became the heart of her family, Dee lived a life filled with strength, adventure, friendship, and above all, love.
She fought from day one, she loved with her whole heart, and she will be deeply missed.
