Delorice Faye
Adkins
October 20, 1946 – November 18, 2025
We celebrate the homecoming of a beloved soul, Delorice Faye Adkins. On November 18, 2025, Delorice was called to her eternal rest in Cushing, OK, completing a life of love and service that began in Pawnee, OK, on October 20, 1946.
Delorice's legacy is one marked by compassion, warmth, and unwavering faith. In 1964 Delorice married the love of her life on Valentines Day, before graduating high school a couple of months later. Delorice's nurturing spirit found its true calling running a daycare, where she touched the lives of numerous children and parents with her caring heart and warm smile. In addition to her role as a childcare provider, Delorice was a dedicated bookkeeper at the used car dealership she managed alongside her beloved husband, Gary.
Delorice relished the simple pleasures that life offered, embracing the opportunity to take care of and play with children, especially babies. She loved quality time spent with family and friends, the good times of lake trips, walks in the park, and feeding the ducks capturing memories of it all through her love of taking pictures.
She was a beacon of friendliness and selflessness, and those words only begin to describe the enormous impact Delorice made on the lives of all who had the fortune of crossing paths with her.
Delorice now rejoins her cherished family in Heaven, her parents Arthur and Betty Minney, her devoted husband Gary Adkins, and her loving children Tracy Fox and Christopher Adkins. She leaves behind a legacy through her siblings, Judy Walbridge and Francis Minnie; her grandchildren, Ryan Vier, Derek Coe, and Johnathan Adkins; and her great-grandchildren Ryker Vier and Leah Vier, who will continue to walk in the light of her example.
In her passage, Delorice Faye Adkins reminds us of the verse, "Well done, good and faithful servant." Her life was a testament to how kindness can resonate through generations, and while we mourn her absence, we also rejoice, knowing she is in the glorious embrace of our Lord. Delorice's love story is not one of conclusion, but of eternal continuation, as she watches over us until we meet again in the Kingdom of Heaven.
