Diana Sue James, 66, of Cushing, Oklahoma passed from this life on October 3, 2022. Arrangements have been entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing.

Diana was born on July 11, 1956, in Arcata, California to parents John and Gladys (Johnson) Smith. She was a loving homemaker throughout her life. Diana shared over 51 loving years with her husband Calvin James.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cindy Ray James; her parents; and two brothers, John Smith and David A. Smith.

Diana is survived by her husband Calvin; siblings, Lena and Ken Montoya, Jewel Boyd, and Wes Smith; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

It was Diana's wishes to have a very simple service at the gravesite and not to have a formal viewing or visitation.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 6, 2022, at Parkland Cemetery.
