Doris was born on June 6, 1932, to Allen and Ruth (Ross) Hyle in Yale, OK. She grew up and attended school in Yale. After finishing school, Doris married the love of her life, Russell White, Jr. on December 10, 1949, in Pawnee, OK. They made their home in Yale where they shared 68 loving years together and were blessed with three children.
Doris loved taking care of her family and making sure they had anything they needed. She was very handy when it came to needlework and crochet, crafting quilts for all her grandchildren. She was also an amazing cook and was known for her delicious pies and desserts. Family was always number one to Doris. She raised her kids and babysat all her grandchildren, giving them a special bond. Her grandchildren lovingly called her "Nan" so that became the name she preferred to go by, introducing herself as such to those she met.
Doris was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She will be missed by all.
Survivors include daughters Bonnie Lilly and Pam Sparks both of Yale; son Mike White and wife, Cindy of Yale; grandchildren, Bo Skinner and wife, Loan, Mandi Martin, Tyler Sparks, Micah Gardner and husband, Billy, and Jason White; great grandchildren, Cooper, Izabella, Logan, Aiden, Ella and Eli; one nephew, Tony Hyle and wife Tina of Mustang; and special friend and roommate at the Stroud Nursing Home, Alta Hightower.
Doris is preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband, Russell White Jr.; son-in-law Tom Lilly; sisters Lorean Kratz and Byrl Wallace; and brother Allen Hyle.
