Edna Mae
Nasalroad
March 10, 1931 – May 24, 2019
Edna Mae Nasalroad, 88, of Yale, Oklahoma, left her earthly home May 24, 2019. Edna was born March 10, 1931 in Payne County and was the daughter of Warnie and Vera (Mcormick) Smith. She graduated from Yale High School. On July 15th, 1949 she married the love of her life, Ralph William Nasalroad. Edna spent her life traveling with her husband and children, but their farm in Yale continued to be home. No matter where they lived, Edna always took pride and delight in being a wife and mother. She worked tirelessly to ensure a home-cooked meal was prepped and her home was spotless. During holidays she made candy and cookies for Ralph's work, as well as for her children to take to school. Edna worked at the Yale Public School cafeteria, where she cared and cooked for over 300 children, ensuring they too had a warm meal every day. She cherished spending time with her grand and great grandchildren. She was a part of the Yale Church of Christ, and was a proud breast cancer survivor.
Edna is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brother, and ½ brother.
She is survived by her four children and their spouses: Lois and John Pence of Yale, OK; Earl and Connie Nasalroad of Yale, OK, Norma and Stephanie Sellers of Porum, OK; and Jason Nasalroad of Cushing, OK; her sister Phyllis Gwinn and husband George of Broken Arrow, OK; six grandchildren: April Pendergraft of Yale, OK, Jimmy and Holly Riley of Yale, OK, Collin Miller-Nasalroad and Tanner Miller-Nasalroad of Edmond, OK, Lee and Noriko Maples of Norman, OK, Danielle Sellers of Porum, OK, and Matalyn Nasalroad of Atlanta, Georgia; seven great-grandchildren: Houston and Olivia Mendenhall of Stillwater, OK, Codi Mendenhall and Lacie O'Bryant of Cushing, OK, Rian Dooley of Yale, OK, Ashleigh, Avery, and Audree Riley of Yale, OK and Tristan Miller-Nasalroad of Edmond, OK, as well as several nieces, and nephews.
