Elizabeth Ann "Libby" Evans, age 55 of Cushing, passed away on Friday, August 1, 2008 in Oklahoma City. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Thursday, August 7, 2008 at the Cushing High School Auditorium. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Oklahoma City, Ok. Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Oklahoma. Libby was born on May 7, 1953 in Oklahoma City to Henry W. and Azilee (Sullivan) Collins. She grew up in Oklahoma City and graduated from Putnam City High School in 1972. Libby moved to Cushing in 1974 to start a family. She was in Girl Scouts for over 20 years, spanning both her childhood and adult life. She also served as the head cook at Camp Tallchief, near Sand Springs, for several summers. Libby was a bus driver for the Cushing Public Schools, driving the #4 fish bus for thirteen years. She enjoyed driving the bus for many band trips, accompanied by her children. Libby was also a para-professional in special education working for the Five Star Interlocal Co-op. During her free time, she enjoyed making crafts and being in the outdoors. Libby is survived by her son Cory Evans of Cushing, daughter Sara Johnson and husband Mike of Oklahoma City, her mother Azilee (Sullivan) Link of Oklahoma City, sister Abby McCuddy and husband Kenneth of Mustang, Aunt Pat (Sullivan) Miller of North Carolina and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, grandparents Clara and Arthur Sullivan and Irma and Henry W. Collins.
