Elva Lee Fowler passed from this life on Saturday, January 12, 2019 in Cushing, OK.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 17, 2019 in the Palmer Marler Funeral Home chapel. Interment will follow at Davenport Cemetery.

Elva was born on September 25, 1926 to L.M. and Treasa (Sellers) Hilton in Steauman, OK. She grew up in the Ada area and attended school in Byng. While in school, Elva fell in love and married Henry Scott. She graduated from Byng High School and began work at the Huckins Hotel in Oklahoma City as a waitress. In the early 1950's Elva and Henry moved to Germany and adopted Samuel S. Scott and Kathy Carmen Scott. In 1957, Elva moved back to Oklahoma and worked at Holiday Inn in Oklahoma City. Later Elva married Lewis Fowler in 1973. They moved to Milfay, OK and attended church at Milfay Baptist Church. They spent 11 years together before his passing in 1984. Elva left Milfay and moved to Bristow to stay with her granddaughter, Kathy and Michael Ramsey. Later Elva moved to Oilton. While living in Oilton, Elva attended Lake Church.
Elva was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Elva is preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Fowler; parents, L.M. and Treasa Hilton; two children, Samuel and Kathy Scott.

Elva is survived by her children, Linda Clay of Arizona, Ruth Boyett of Oilton, OK, Johnny Fowler and wife, Pam of Nicoma Park, OK, Janice Cavin of Oilton, OK, Kathy Ramsey of Oklahoma City, OK. Elva is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
