Emma C. McBlair, longtime Jennings resident, passed from this life on Sunday, October 22, 2023, in Tulsa, OK at the age of 90.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Oilton.  A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 27, 2023, at Marena Cemetery.

Emma was born on September 19, 1933, in Newton County, Missouri to Clifford and Lucinda (Spillman) Taylor.  She grew up and attended school in Sarcoxie.  After finishing high school in Sarcoxie, Emma met and fell in love with Ernest McBlair.  They were married on January 15, 1951, in Eureka Springs. To this union were born seven children: Bert, Ernest III, Jeannie, Sarah, Greer, Daniel, and Kitty.

Emma was a hardworking mother that made sure all her children were well fed and taken care of.  She was a master seamstress and knew her way around the kitchen.  In her free time, Emma loved to spend time with family and watch her Sooner football.

Emma was a devoted Christian.  She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Jennings and would read her bible daily.  Her favorite saying was, "Give Glory to God".

Emma was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, and friend.  She will be missed by all.

Emma is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Ernest McBlair; one daughter, Kitty McBlair Long; three siblings, Etta Jesse, Dorothy Pyle, and Charlie Taylor.

Emma is survived by six children, Bert McBlair, Ernest McBlair III, Jeannie Harvey, Sarah Duckett and husband, Randy, Greer McBlair and wife, Mary, Daniel Joseph McBlair; one sister, Mary Catherine Allender.  Emma is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
