Etta Lewis Herrmann Worthy, a longtime Agra resident, passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2018 in Oklahoma City at the age of 86. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 23, 2018 at the Wes McFarland Center, Agra, OK. Interment will follow at Flynn Cemetery, Cushing, OK.
Etta was born the 10th child to Daniel and Maude Herrmann on March 5, 1932. She attended the Victor Country school from 1938 to 1946. Etta was baptized into the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn by Brother Claud Greenfield. Etta met her future husband Billy Ray Worthy at Cahone, Colorado in 1946. They were married June 26, 1949. They settled in Agra, Oklahoma where they spent 69 years together and raised five children, Johnny Ray, Danny Kay, Michael Wayne, Alan Leroy, and Carol Diann.
Etta is survived by her husband Bill Worthy, three sons Johnny Ray Worthy of Cushing, Michael Wayne Worthy of Checotah, Alan Leroy Worthy of Stillwater, daughter Carol Diann Worthy – Myers of Agra, 14 grandchildren, and 25 great grandchildren, brothers Mondis Herrmann of Grand Junction, Co., and Arnold Herrmann of Chandler.
Etta was preceded in death by her son Danny Worthy.
