Eulanda JoAnn Frye, 76 , was a longtime Cushing area resident who passed peacefully from this life on Monday, April 4, 2022, at the Linwood Village Nursing Home in Cushing. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing.

Visitation will be from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM on Friday, April 8, 2022, at Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing.  Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel in Cushing.

JoAnn was born on November 4, 1945, in Howe, OK, to parents George and Zelma Salley.  She was one of seventeen children so her love for family started at a young age.  She went to school in California but graduated from Agra, OK.  After graduation, she married the love of her life, Melton Frye.  To this union were born six children.  JoAnn was a strong, passionate and independent woman who taught her children to love Jesus like she did and to be strong individuals.  She enjoyed old western movies, listening to Elvis Presley, word searches, puzzles and games, but her greatest joy was spending all her available time with family.

Her desire was to make her house feel like a home where her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren could come and feel loved.  Her favorite times were spent cooking large meals for her family and preparing her home for Holidays.

JoAnn is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Melton; sisters Violet, Helen, Joyce, Donna and Virginia Lou; two brothers G.W. and Glenn.

She is survived by her children Melody Gordon and husband Laramie, Cindy Voegel and husband Stephen, Kimberly Frye, Rebecca Toops and husband Roger, William Frye and Tim Frye and fiancé Jamie; her sisters Jean, Margie, Sue, Sherry, Linda, Gloria and brother Kenny; twelve grandchildren Brandy, Ashley, Stephanie, Aryann, Michael, Hope, Shelbi, Jessica, Marc, Hannah, Jameson and Konner; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
