Delma Fern Combs

Delma Fern Combs, of Cushing, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2026, in Ardmore, Oklahoma. She was born on April 2, 1948, in Yale, Oklahoma, to Claire and Beulah Hahn. Fern married the love of her life, Richard Lee Combs, in 1966 in Drumright, Oklahoma.

Throughout her life, Fern worked in private home health care and at Welch’s Green House. She was also a devoted homemaker who took great pride in caring for her family and home.

Family was number one to Fern. She cherished every opportunity to spend time with those she loved and especially enjoyed making memories with her grandsons. Fern loved playing pool and fishing with her grandsons, and she also found great enjoyment in reading. Her love, kindness, and devotion to her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Fern is survived by her daughter, Tina Ford and husband, Devlon, of Springer; grandson, Reilly Ford and wife, Samantha, of Lone Grove; siblings, Claire Rich of Drumright, Arnetta Hahn of Cushing, Sue James and husband, Marvin, of Ripley, Ralph Sheldon and wife, Cheryl, of Cushing, and Sarah Mumson and husband, Scott, of Cushing; bonus daughter Belinda Adkins and husband Scott of Stillwater, along with numerous extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lee Combs; her parents, Claire and Beulah Hahn; grandson, Dalton Gage Ford; sisters, Sharon Cone and Margert Hahn; and brother, Melvin Hahn.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 2, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Palmer Marler Funeral Home, with family greeting friends during that time.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 3, 2026, in the Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery.

Fern will be lovingly remembered for her devotion to her family, the memories she created with those she loved, and the love she gave so freely throughout her life.
