Floyd Leon Dennis passed from this life on March 3, 2022, in Drumright, OK. A family led Graveside Memorial Service will be held in his honor at 2p.m. on March 17, 2022, at Highland Cemetery in Oilton, Oklahoma.

Floyd was born on January 15, 1944, to David and Alma (Clemmons) Dennis in Yale, Oklahoma. Floyd married the love of his life, Barbara Hope, on September 4, 1965, at her home in Oilton, Oklahoma. To their union, they were blessed with four children and one honorary son.

Floyd dedicated his life to the service of his country with active service in the National Guard for 11 years, Sergeant 1st Class in the Army for 22 years, an Honorary Member of the Queen's Regiment – British Army and worked with the Thunderbird Youth Academy for over 13 years. He was active Military during the Vietnam War and Desert Storm.

When Floyd was not dedicating his time to his country, he was dedicated to his family. He loved spending time with his grandchildren especially going Hunting, Fishing, Camping and doing Ropes Courses.

Floyd is survived by his wife Barbara; his daughter, Melissa Dennis; son, Joshua Dennis and wife Jennifer; son, Daniel Dennis and wife Angela; and honorary son, Brandon Chester and wife Erica. Seven grandchildren, Richard and wife Carlise, Joseph, Angelicia, Michael, Morgan, Easton and Wyatt, and two great-grandchildren Gracie and Glory.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Kathryn Dennis.
