Frank Reedy, lifetime Parkland resident passed peacefully from this life on August 5, 2019.  He was born in Parkland to proud parents Frank and Ruth (Stevens) Reedy on March 27, 1938.  He would live on that same mile section in Parkland his entire life.  Frank attended Agra schools graduating with the Class of 1956.  It would be 3 more years of waiting after graduating to marry the love of his life, Barbara Gayhart.  They were married on March 17, 1959 and enjoyed over 60 years of true love.

In 1968, Frank and Barbara purchased the family farm on the same mile section as his parents.  They built their home in 1974 where they raised their children, Jana and Steve.  For over 20 years the family farmed and operated a dairy.  Frank would then go to work as a rural mail carrier out of the Chandler, OK post office for 20 years until retiring in 1996.

Many will remember Frank by the tables he and Barbara made and gifted to many in the area.  He was quite artistic and made his own jigs to bend the frames and craft the stained glass and granite tops.  Frank was a dedicated member of the Church of the Firstborn in Perkins, Oklahoma.  He was a genuine man and loved his family deeply.

Frank is preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Helen Brooks, Gerald Reedy, and Betty Brown-Fick.

He is survived by his loving wife Barbara, and his sweet dog "Gus" of the home; children, Jana and husband Mark Shelton of Perkins, OK, and Steve and wife Becky Reedy of Agra, OK; grandchildren, Ryan and Casey Shelton, Chris and Ashton Shelton, Samantha and Ryan Brumley, Jared and Lindsey Shelton, Bo Reedy, Laura and Donald James, and Sarah and Jarrod Battles; great grandchildren, Cali James, Charly Brumley, Jack Shelton, Jace Brumley, Addie Shelton, Sawyer Shelton, Ellie Shelton, Evie Battles, Behrett James, and one more "on the way" Rhett Shelton; siblings, Ruthena Hiemer of Tryon, OK, Diane and husband Richard Wolfe of Stillwater, OK, and Sherre and R.C. Brandenburg of Stillwater, OK; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and a host of friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at the Church of the Firstborn in Perkins, Oklahoma.  Burial will follow at Parkland Cemetery, Parkland, Oklahoma.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing, Oklahoma.  The family will be present to greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be shared at www.PalmerMarlerFH.com
