Genevieve Leota Miller was born on May 12, 1942, in Wamego, Kansas, to Carl and Sylvia (Heston) Hoffsett. She grew up in Kansas and attended school in Topeka, graduating from Topeka East High School in 1960.

In 1968, Genevieve married Perry Miller in Kansas City, Missouri. In 1976, the couple made their home in Yale, Oklahoma, where Genevieve became a longtime and faithful member of the Church of God in Yale.

Genevieve devoted her life to loving and raising her family. She found joy in simple pleasures, including working word search books, spending time in her yard, and helping other families with their yardwork whenever she could. She loved traveling, especially trips back to Kansas to visit family. Her greatest happiness came from time spent with her grandchildren, and she especially treasured moments with her great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Sylvia Hoffsett; her husband, Perry Miller; her daughter, Lisa Kelso; two sisters, Phyllis Reser and June Ashcraft; three brothers, Bud Hoffsett, Sam Hoffsett, and Clovis Bates; and two nephews, Charlie and Terry Miller.

Genevieve is survived by her children, Jeff Allen, Star Herring, Anna Romero, Wes Brown, and Joe Brown; along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, all of whom will cherish her memory and the love she gave so freely.

Genevieve will be remembered for her kind heart, hardworking spirit, and deep devotion to her family and faith.
