Glenda Joyce Begley passed from this life on October 9th, 2022, with family by her side. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Oilton. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Glenda was born prematurely on March 20, 1940, in Pryor, Oklahoma to Glenn and Lela (Howell) Bond. She has been a fighter and hard worker ever since she was born. Growing up, Glenda helped on the family farm and was very upset that when she moved out the family bought electric milkers. She grew up in in Locust Grove and graduated from Locust Grove High School. After finishing school, Glenda wanted to further her education and attended Draughon Business School. Her education helped her get a job at a small oil company.

Glenda met and fell head over heels in love with Homer Begley. They were married on July 24, 1959, at the Freewill Baptist Church in Locust Grove. They had three loving children, Sherri, Jerry, and Gary. She was a loving mother and attended every baseball game, while also keeping the scores. Glenda was always working, either running the family business, working cattle, or taking care of her kids.

Glenda had a heart of gold and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone. She will be missed by all.

Glenda is survived by her husband of 63 years, Homer Begley of the home; two sons, Jerry Begley and wife, Piper of Jennings, Gary Begley and wife, Christina of Oilton. Glenda is also survived by six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Glenda is preceded in death by her daughter, Sherri Doll, two twin sons, Timmy and Jimmy, both parents, Glenn and Lela, one sister, Nancy Bond, and father and mother-in-law, Bill and Catherine Begley.
