Glenn E. Sigle, 97, of Agra, Oklahoma passed away quietly in his sleep on September 1, 2022. His care has been entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing, Oklahoma.
Glenn was born July 13, 1925 to George and Cressie Sigle. He was the second of six children. His service to celebrate his life will be held at the First Baptist Church of Agra at 416 Roosevelt Street, Agra, Oklahoma, 74824 at 2:00 pm on Thursday, September 8th, 2022.
In November 1949, Glenn married the love of his life, Inis Hicks. Together they raised their three children in Del City, Oklahoma. Glenn was a devoted and loving husband and father, grandfather and great-grandfather and a loyal friend. Glenn had a knack of making his kids, grandkids and great-grandkids believe that they were his favorite, and indeed each one was.
Glenn had a nearly 30 year career at Tinker Air Force Base, after he was honorably discharged from his service in the United States Navy. He had a second career at the OSU dorms, where he assisted in maintaining the necessary up-keep of the facilities. Although, his favorite career was farming, which he successfully did while living on his farm in Agra, Oklahoma. He and Inis were long time residents and members of the First Baptist Church of Agra where Glenn served for many years as a deacon. Glenn was an exemplary man and led an honest, godly life. He was kind, loving and a firm believer in hard work, as his work ethic was demonstrated throughout his life time.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Inis, and son-in-law, Rick Davis, as well as his parents, and his siblings.
Glenn is survived by his three children: son, Terry Sigle and wife Kathy of Edmond Oklahoma; Sherry Davis of Seminole; Debra Vaughan and husband Mark of Edmond, Oklahoma and his seven grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren: Randy Sigle, Terry Sigle, Jr. and wife Leanne and their children, Landon, Gracyn, and Holden; Shelly Neeley and husband Brian, and their children, Brylee, Hudson, Walker and Nash; Natalie Bross and husband Luke and their children, Lily, Navy and Claire; Zack Davis and children, Jaxson, Colton and Skylar; Tyler Vaughan and wife Maggie and their children, Georgia, Maxie and Parks; Angela Coker and husband Chris and their children Lexee and Jaxee.
Funeral service will be held at Agra First Baptist Church on 416 Roosevelt St, Agra, OK 74824, at 2:00 p.m. on September 8, 2022. Burial to take place at Tryon Cemetery following the service. Viewing, from 2:00 to 7:00pm, will be held on Wednesday, September 7th, at Palmer Marler Funeral Home, at 800 S. Linwood Ave, Cushing, Oklahoma, 74023.
In lieu of flower, donations can be made to the First Baptist Church of Agra's building funds.
