Obituary

It is with great reverence and heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Gloria Kay Lytle, who left this life on May 25, 2026, in Terlton, Oklahoma. Born on November 15, 1963, in Alma, Michigan, Gloria’s presence was a gift to all who knew her, embodying warmth, humor, and an unwavering love for her family.

Gloria possessed a quick wit and a radiant sense of humor, often described as a mirror image of her beloved mother, Patricia Sue Parrott, who preceded her in death. These traits endeared her to many and brought joy and laughter into the lives of those around her. Gloria was passionate about her careers; she worked both as an EMT and 911 dispatcher. Her careers have impacted numerous lives in Texas and Oklahoma through her numerous years on the force.

Her avid interests vividly illustrated her dynamic spirit. Gloria loved fishing and embraced the spirited camaraderie of playing bingo. An ardent supporter of the University of Oklahoma, she found great joy in attending Yale Bulldogs sporting events, especially when cheering on her cherished grandchildren. Among her proudest accomplishments was becoming a devoted mother and grandmother—a role she fulfilled with immense pride and love.

Gloria’s loving family remains her enduring legacy. She is survived by three children: Rickae Rudd and her fiancé Alex; Ashley Dennis; and Jesse Dennis. Her siblings—Nancy Pool and her husband Daniel, Karen Blevins, and Rick Lytle and his wife Melissa—also carry forward her memory with affection. Gloria’s devoted father, Gordon Lytle, continues to hold her close in his heart.

Her family circle extended blissfully to seven grandchildren: Austin Reams and his wife Raegan, Brady Rudd, Caden Rudd, Quincy Rudd, Brayden Dennis, Joshua Dennis, and Reid Wright. The precious light of two great-grandchildren, Laynee Rudd and Drue Reams, further magnified her joy. Gloria is also lovingly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, a great-nephew, and a broad circle of friends who were touched by her kindness and spirited nature.

Friends and loved ones are invited to pay their respects during a visitation held on June 3, 2026, from 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM with family greeting friends from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Palmer Marler Funeral Home, located at 800 S Linwood Ave, Cushing, Oklahoma. A Celebration of Life will follow on June 5, 2026, beginning at 2:00 PM, concluding at 3:00 PM, at the same location. These gatherings will provide a time to honor Gloria’s remarkable life, sharing memories and reflecting on the profound impact she had.

Gloria Kay Lytle’s life was a testament to the enduring bonds of family, the joy found in simple pleasures, and a character brightened by humor and love. Her memory remains a cherished blessing to all who knew her.
