Gordon "Scott" Brandon was born Sept. 1, 1937, in Hanna, MO, to Mart & Ina Brandon. Growing up with Barbara, Harlon, Jerry, Kenneth and Ray made Scott the social, nature loving man we all cherished. After moving to Oklahoma and planting roots, Scott graduated from Oilton High School in 1955. He served his country in the US Army with honor in 1955-1961. In 1959, he married Opal Mae Huff. They had two daughters, Brenda & Teresa Brandon. Scott made a career at National Tank in Sand Springs until 1984 when they closed their doors. He embraced a semi-retired life made up of being on the road trucking, fishing, hunting, gardening and anything that would get him out of the house. After the six grand kids came on the scene he spent much of his time at ball games and teaching them life skills. If you ever needed him just call the house to hear the answering machine which he updated daily with his social engagements. Being married to the town beautician had its perks so he was up on all the happenings and loved her dearly until she passed much too early in 1998. As a staple of Oilton, OK, Scott made an impact in the lives of anyone who got the chance to catch up on the latest news over a cup of coffee or see the master fisherman at work behind a rod and reel.
He will be remembered in life by his siblings Ray, Denise & Marylyn. His children Brenda, Teresa & Eddie. His grandchildren: Brandon & Melissa McBride, Sara & Derek Stevens, Derek & Jan McBride, Lindsey & Tyler Grey, Andrew McBride, Christopher & Chelsea McBride. His great grandchildren: Kadin, Taryn, Kaely, Wyatt, Ty, Molly, Bentley, Natalie, Waylon and Hayes from the" boys"." The" girls" brought him: Reese, Riley, Raegen, Remi, Piper, Major & Poppy.
He is welcomed to forever by his parents Mart & Ina Brandon, wife, Opal and siblings Barbara & Clyde Humble, Kenneth, Harlon & Jerry Brandon. Along with several angels who get to meet grandpa for the first time.
