Henry Irvin Lewis, longtime Yale resident, passed from this life on Monday, February 10, 2020 at his home surrounded by family at the age of 74.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Yale. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at the Yale Assembly of God with Pastor Randell Newby officiating.

Henry was born on March 19, 1945 to Jesse Gilbert and Lucille Nora May (Collins) Lewis in Yale, OK. Henry grew up and graduated from Yale High School. Upon graduating, Henry joined the United States Army serving as a Medic in the Vietnam War. After being honorably discharged, Henry returned to the states and worked for Oklahoma State in the Veterinary Medical School for 18 years. In his free time, Henry enjoyed painting and spending time with his family.

Henry was loving and caring man. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Henry is survived by four sisters: DeLila May Moore, Mary Ella Grubb, Elizabeth Ann Thomison, Brenda Kay Bryer. Henry is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Henry is preceded in death by both parents, Jesse and Lucille Lewis; one sister, Jessie Evon Con Dee; one brother, Howard Franklin Lewis.
