Hulen Green Stout, a longtime Yale resident, passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at OSU Medical Center, Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, February 12, 2022 at the Fellowship Baptist Church in Yale, Oklahoma.  Brother Mich Dershem will officiate.  Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Oklahoma.

Hulen was born on September 19, 1937 in Quitaque, Texas.  Hulen grew up and attended school in Madill.  He did odd jobs for a few years before becoming interested in Upholstery.  Hulen worked for Scott Seat Covers in Oklahoma City for a few years to learn the business.  Hulen married Frances Reynolds on June 13, 1962.  They made their home in Tulsa, OKC, Denton, TX, and then moved back to Yale in 1986.  Hulen opened his own business where he upholstered furniture and automobiles.  He taught his son Pete to upholster as well.  Hulen enjoyed traveling.  He will be missed by his family and friends.

Hulen is survived by his son Pete Stout and wife Marilynne, daughter Marie Stout, sister Vandel Osteen, grandchildren James Downs and Lori Cosco, Robert Downs and Amber, Chris Stout, Susie Shideler, Brittany Williams, and Jordan Adams, and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Frances Stout, sister Lovena James Reed, brothers Kenneth Stout and Luel Stout, grandchildren Angela Marie Haynes, Walter Charles Downs, and Donald Lynn Downs.
