Irma "Rose"
Redus
April 5, 1951 – May 14, 2025
We come together today to celebrate the life of Rose Redus, a cherished member of our community, who passed away on May 14, 2025, at the age of 74 in Oklahoma City, OK. Rose was born on April 5, 1951, in Yale, OK, and her life was marked by an unshakeable faith, a generous heart, and a creative soul.
A proud graduate from Perkins High School in 1969, Rose's love for learning and growth never waned. Her backyard garden was a testament to her care and dedication, blooming with life and colors just as vibrant as her own personality. Rose loved to find furniture at garage sales, restore and paint them. Rose's generous spirit extended to countless garage sales, where she would search for treasures not for herself, but to share with those she loved. Her creativity shone through in every aspect of her life. Animals found a friend in Rose, and her kindness knew no bounds.
Survived by her four adoring children, Jason Listerman and wife, Stephanie, Marc Listerman and wife, Lesley, Adam Listerman and wife, Connie, Raven Redus; 11 grandchildren: Taylor, Logan, Dylan, Shyla, Tanner, Lily, Anna, Abby, Zoe, Skip, Kamryn; 6 siblings: Mike Johnson and wife, Janice, Larry Johnson and wife, Dixie, Tina Lynsky, Troy Cundiff and wife Jenny, Tracy Nava and husband, Ricky, Todd Cundiff and wife, Kimberly; several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Though we mourn her passing, Rose Redus's life was a beacon of love and generosity that will illuminate the paths of those she touched forever. She was preceded in death by both of her parents, her twin sister, Linda, and brother, Clifford. Today, we say farewell to a truly remarkable woman, whose memory will be etched in our hearts for years to come.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at the First Baptist Church in Perkins, OK. Interment will follow at Perkins Cemetery.
