Long time Tulsa businessman and Payne County Rancher, Jack Jacobs, passed away on December 31, 2023, at the age of 95 years.

Jack was the first of two children born to Tom and Juanita Jacobs of Tulsa, arriving on January 1, 1928, at the new St John's Hospital.  Jack attended Tulsa public schools, Central class of 1946.  Upon completion of 2 years in the Navy aboard the U.S.S Missouri, Jack returned to Tulsa, married his high school sweetheart June Heiliger and resumed his education, graduating from the University of Arkansas in 1951.

Jack spent fifteen years at Nelson Electric Manufacturing, leaving the company as Vice President of Sales to assume the management of L.A. King Corporation.  A labor of love for the next 49 years until selling the company on January 1, 2016.

Jack and June spent many happy years until her death in 1995, living on the Triple J Ranch in Payne County where they raised quarter horses and angus cattle.  The ranch was sold in 2014.

Jack and his wife Betty enjoyed work, travel, and spending time at their weekend home on Grand Lake.  In late years, Jack and Betty were content at home playing with the dog, reading, feeding and watering the birds, and enjoying the seasonal changes in the yard.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents; his wife June; his wife Betty; sister, Pat Johnson; his middle son, Dana, and his much-loved Wheaton Terrier Phoebe Wonder Princess.

He is survived by his two sons, Michael Jacobs and wife June of Jay, Oklahoma, and Randy Jacobs and wife Sara of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; three stepdaughters, Phyllis Ogilvie and husband Clark of Owasso, Oklahoma, Peggy Reynolds of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Susan Tschappat of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Graveside services for Jack will be at 2PM on Saturday, January 6, at Underwood Cemetery in Yale, Oklahoma.
