Ratliff
November 4, 1973 – December 8, 2018
Jama Patricia Blair Ratliff, longtime Oilton resident, passed from this life on Saturday, December 8, 2018 in Tulsa, OK surrounded by family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home.
The family will be holding a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 21, 2018 at the Crossroads Community Church at 52787 W. Highway 51 in Jennings, OK.
Jama was born on November 4, 1973 to Edward and Sherry (Doolin) Ratliff in Grenada, MS. Her family moved to Oilton, OK not long after Jama was born. At a young age, Jama loved to ride horses with her family and friends. She attended school and graduated from Oilton High School in 1992. After completing school, Jama worked in home healthcare and daycares. She eventually owned her own daycare for a short period of time. Jama had one child, Brooke, with Bryan Glasby. She later married Dwayne Chapman and she loved his three children as her own, Tera, Stacy, and Jason. Later, Jama married Teddy Mills. They had multiple horses and shared their love of horses together.
Jama had a close friend, Thelma, who was like a second mom. Thelma's children became Jama's brothers and sisters. They shared great memories together.
Jama was active throughout her house and in the community. She always made sure that her family was well fed and taken care of. When Jama was out in the community, she always had to be dressed up with makeup on. She was also a member of the Lady's Auxiliary for the VFW for multiple years. Jama bred and raised Shih Tzu dogs. Once Jama had grandkids, her heart was full. She loved spending time, loving, and spoiling them.
Jama was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Jama is preceded in death by both parents.
Jama is survived by one daughter: Brooke Low and husband, Cody; two grandchildren: Brody and Brylee Low; five siblings: James Ratliff, Jennifer Smith, Justin O'Bryant, Ricky O'Bryant, Angie Kennon and husband, Doug; close family friend/mother: Thelma O'Bryant; stepfather: Mark Orcutt.
