James Calvin "JC" Morton went to his final rest on February 18, 2021 following a long illness. J.C. was born on April 6, 1928 in Heavener, OK to parents Junior Clyde Morton and Lizzie May Duffy.

Throughout his life, J.C. delighted in being with his family and friends, and hunting, gardening, baseball and many other activities. J.C. was known for his humor, ability to make people laugh and his storytelling. He was an avid fan of Western shows and classic country music.

J.C. was preceded in death by his parents, Jule (Junia) and Lizzie Morton, wife Gloria Morton (Pellegrino), sisters Margaret Savino, Ruth Correale, and Phyllis Colvin and his brothers Jack (Joel) George (Theodore) and Gene Morton.

JC is also survived by devoted daughter Donna Lekites (Morton) and son-in-law Joseph, son James Lee Morton and daughter-in-law Cynthia, sister Margie (Laura) Hixon, brother Skip (Franklin) Morton and spouse Camille, and brother Lee "John" Morton and wife Donna.

In addition, JC is survived by his loving grandsons Joel Lekites and wife Jessica, Jared Lekites and spouse Wesley, and grand daughters Amanda Iverson and Crystal Morton. He also adored 8 Great-grandchildren Jaclyn, Jamison, Joseph and June Lekites, and Donnie, Hayden, Lydia and Abby Iverson.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Cushing, OK.

A celebration of J.C.'s life will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Palmer-Marler Funeral Home Chapel in Cushing, OK.
