James was born on May 7, 1934 in Niangua, MO the son of Edgar and Brooxie (Dudley) Robinson. He was the 6th child of eight born to his parents. The family moved to Yale when James was 13 years old. He resided there until moving to Southern Oakes Care Center in Pawnee where his sister Velma was a resident.

He worked many years as an overnight custodian in the OSU Library before retiring. James was a jokster and was a fun loving uncle especially when his brothers were around because no one had a chance when they all gained up on you. He enjoyed family gatherings the most when his brothers from Kansas and Nebraska would come with their families in the summer time.

After retirement he enjoyed having coffee in the mornings with his brothers John and Paul at the Maveric or at his sister Velma's kitchen table. He also enjoyed hanging out at Yale Motors with Carl Hendrix and would help bring in new cars to the lot.

James was a great son, brother, uncle and friend to many who knew him. He had many nicknames throughout his life depending on who the person was. "Jim" was the most popular but a few of his nieces and nephews would call him "Jimbo" never mattered what you called him he would answer and say "call me whatever just don't call me late for dinner".

He is survived by his sister, Velma Baird of Southern Oakes Care Center in Pawnee; his caregivers and nieces Robin Baird, Yale and Sherry Pendleton and husband, Bill of Yale; sister-in-laws Glenda Robinson, Cushing; Jeanie Robinson, Glencoe; many neices and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews and many many friends.
