Jeff Mitchell Martin was born in Goodnight, Oklahoma on April 22, 1949, to Glover C. and Emma L. Martin. Jeff was called home on May 26, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 76 years old.

After graduating from Booker T. Washington in Cushing, Oklahoma, Jeff served in the U.S. Army for eight years. During that 8 years, Jeff served in Vietnam and received the following medals: National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Marksman & Sharpshooter Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 2 Bronze Stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal 1 Overseas Service Bar and 1 Service Stripe.

In 1971, Jeff was featured in Jet Magazine as an up and coming pool star. After his time in the military, Jeff became a controller at Amoco Pipeline. Jeff had a passion for riding his motorcycle, cooking, reading, spending time with family/friends and spreading the love of the Lord to everyone.

Jeff is preceded in death by his parents, Grover and Emma Martin. Survivors include wife Brenda Martin; three children: youngest Jenny Martin of Stillwater, middle son Jeff "Mitch" Martin, Jr. and his oldest son, Jeremy Thompson and wife Fawn Thompson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Surviving siblings: sister Ruby Martin of Oklahoma City, sister Vera Martin of Tulsa, Oklahoma, sister Violo Brannon of Cushing, brothers Clyde Martin of Oklahoma City, Lewis Martin of Tulsa and Gene Martin of South Dakota. He has three grandchildren: Trenton, Zariah and Rome Colbert.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 30, 2025, at Palmer Marler Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 31 at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Silver Star Cemetery in Cushing.
