Jody
Wiseley
July 24, 1955 – May 2, 2024
On May 2nd, 2024, Jody Melissa Wiseley, entered into her forever Kingdom. She was not only a child of God but was a beautiful wife and loving mother.
Jody was born on July 24th, 1955, in Concord, California to Joseph and Florence Rios. She was a proud graduate of Liberty Union High School, Class of 1974. Later, she graduated from Milpitas Beauty College with a Cosmetology License. Jody had a love for cosmetology, sewing, baking, canning her famous jams, and making secret family recipes for Christmas candy. She was always up for a good laugh, and you never had to wonder what she was thinking because she always spoke her mind. She was a loyal friend and enjoyed spending most of her time with family. A kind, sweet-hearted human being, Jody will forever leave a void in her loved one's hearts.
In August of 1980, Jody married her soul mate Harry Wiseley Sr. Not only was Jody lucky enough to marry Harry but she also gained a precious daughter Amy. As a family, they resided in Brentwood, California. Grace Bible Fellowship of Brentwood became their home church and together their faith flourished. From this union they had two children, Harry Jr., and Jolynn. Most of the weekends and holidays were filled with family outings, church, church retreats, and trips to Lake Tahoe. In 1977, one of Jody's sisters had a baby boy named Jeremy. He was another son to Jody, creating a special bond that lasted throughout her life. Jody was able to be a stay-at-home mom and raise her children while doing hair.
In 1993, Jody and family moved to Oklahoma where she worked for Wrangler VF Jeanswear of Prague as a seamstress. She would often stop and look at jeans while shopping just to see if she sewed the pair of jeans she was looking at. The family lived at various locations before settling in Needles, California where Jody worked for Needles Hospital as their Environmental Manager. She was very proud of her job and dedicated numerous hours to the hospital. Unfortunately, her life was shattered in February of 2005 when the love of her life passed away. She then relocated to Kingman, Arizona to be close to family.
In 2010, while in Kingman, Jody met her best friend, David and the two married in 2017. Jody gained a stepson named Bailey. Eventually Jody and David moved to Cushing, Oklahoma where they bought a home on 5 acres. While her husband was an over-the-road truck driver, Jody enjoyed traveling with Dave on the truck, and trying different restaurants. It was in Cushing where Jody lived out the rest of her life peacefully with David right by her side.
Jody is survived by her husband David, daughter Amy of Arizona, son Harry Jr. and wife Tammy of South Carolina, daughter Jolynn and husband Kyle of Oklahoma, stepson Bailey of Oklahoma, nephew Jeremy and wife Nicole of Arizona, grandchildren Amber, and Alex of Florida, Patrick Jr, Bronson, and Caleb of Florida, Jordan, Jarett, and JJ of Oklahoma, sisters Marcie and Tisha of Washington, Lucy of Idaho, and Allison of California, mother in law Linda of Oklahoma, great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jody is preceded in death by her parents, and late husband Harry Sr.
