John G. Clark, 84 of Cushing, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa.
Services have been entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Cushing.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, 10:00 am, May 18, 2011 in the Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Kyle Wright officiating. Burial will be in the Avery Cemetery.
John was born on March 18, 1927 in Chicago, IL to Weston G. and Rae Clark.
John grew up in Chicago and graduated High School in Chicago. After graduation, John joined the US Navy for four years and then moved to CA. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and American Legion and a member of the Elks Lodge. John was a man of many passions, he enjoyed camping, traveling, shooting guns, driving dune buggies and automobiles. He lived back and forth between OK and CA. John was a whiz at everything and favorite saying was "Been there, done that." John had been an electrician for over 40 years working at B&B Electric.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth; Sons, John G. Clark, Jr. and wife Carol of Santa Maria, CA, Joel Clark of Cushing, and step-son Robert Blancarte of Stroud; Daughters, Janice Clark of West Covina, CA; step-daughters, Sara Costillo and husband Armando of Cushing, Sally Conley and husband Frank of FL., and Barbara Blancarte of Laughlin, NV; brothers, Richard Clark of Chicago, Bill Clark and wife Sandy of MO; sister, Patsy Clark of Aurora, IL; 3 grandchildren; and 8 step grandchildren.
