Madeline Joyce Flud, wife, mother and nana, passed away peacefully in her home in Cushing, OK on Saturday, December 23rd, 2023, at the age of 75.

Joyce was born on December 12th, 1948, to parents Earl and Violet Hoover, in Farmersville/Exeter, CA. Though born in California, she spent most of her life traveling between Oklahoma and California. She met her late husband, Richard Flud, at Exeter High School in 1965 and they married on February 5th, 1966. They were married for 56 years before his death on May 27th, 2021.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother Alton Hoover.

Survivors include her daughter, Sandra Stransky and her husband Neil of Stillwater, OK, son Randy Flud and wife Karrie of Cushing, OK, son Brandon Flud and wife Audrey of Porterville, CA, son Robbie Flud of Cushing, OK, niece and honorary daughter, Donetta Brown of Porterville, CA; grandchildren Tienna Halford and husband Tony of Perkins, OK, Joshua Cox of Troy, IL, Christopher Flud, Kendra Flud, Tripp Flud, Mackenzie Flud, Paisley Flud, and Novalie Flud of Porterville, CA, Layla Clark and Isabelle Flud of Shawnee, OK, Chance and Trenton Treat of Cushing, OK; great-grandchildren Lynnox and Everly Halford, Asher and Flynn Cox, Aryia Clark and Kyler Buttram, and Stormie Treat; brother Ralph Hoover and wife Pam, and sister Beulah Wright, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was beloved by all.

She spent her days with her precious puppy, Tinkerbell. She loved spending time with her kids and grandkids and was a lifelong reader and soap opera watcher. She was kind and always treated her kids' and grandkids' spouses and even friends like her own and everyone was always welcome in her home.

A visitation for Joyce will be from 4PM to 8PM on Friday, December 29th at Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing, OK. Funeral services will be held at 10AM on Saturday, December 30th at the Church of God in Ripley, OK, on December 30th with interment at Parkland Cemetery. Pastor Stephen Jordan will be officiating.
