Joyce Ann Skinner, longtime Yale resident, passed from this life on Friday, February 7,2020 in Tulsa surrounded by family at the age of 74.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Yale. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at the Crossroads Community Church with Pastor Mike Clark officiating.
Joyce was born on September 6, 1945 to James Howard and Ruth Ann (Yousty) Hollon in Yale, OK. She grew up and attended school in the Quay/Jennings/Oilton area. After finishing school, Joyce married Sam Skinner on August 22, 1964. She worked for the City of Yale for multiple years and then later started work at the Cushing Public School. When Joyce had free time, you could find her in the great outdoors, camping and fishing with close friends and family. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandkids.
Joyce will be missed by all who knew her.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Sam Skinner of the home; two sons, Randy Bryant of Sand Springs, Leslie Bryant of Cushing; one brother, Danny Hollon of Mannford. Joyce is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, James Howard and Ruth Ann (Yousty) Hollon; two grandson, John Clark and Frank Bryant; one sister, Caroline Rosco.
