Obituary

Judy Trout, a longtime Stroud resident, passed away peacefully at her home in the early morning hours on Monday, August 9th, 2021, surrounded by loved ones. She had turned 80 years on the day prior to her passing.

Judy and her twin sister, Jane, were born August 8th, 1941, to Margurite (Blair) and LeRoy Hayter in Cushing, Oklahoma. Judy grew up and attended Cushing Public Schools where she graduated in 1959. She married the love of her life, Bob Trout, on November 29, 1972. They settled in Stroud where they raised their four children. She and Bob moved into their home on New Year's Eve, 1976, which remains in the family. She worked as a secretary with the City Manager for the City of Stroud for a time, then went on to Valley Hope in Cushing for 19 years, retiring in 2006.

Judy was very crafty. She and Jane created a tradition, "Make it, Bake it, Grow it, or Sew it" where all Christmas gifts were to be handmade. On the weekends you can guarantee she was out haggling prices over peoples used junk at local yard sales. If you needed anything, she could find it, and when she found it there was a story attached with it that usually ended with, "and guess how much I paid for it!?" She was a spit fire. Her quick wit and sense of humor kept you on your toes. She was independent, a caretaker, and the foundation to our family. Though she is a twin, she is one in a million!

Judy is survived by her twin sister and "womb-mate", Jane Jenkins, of Cushing; Son, Tony Chrisp, and girlfriend, Melanie Tucker, of Cushing; Daughter, Shari Tuttle, of Stroud; Grandsons, Adam Tuttle, and wife, Amanda, of Stroud; Clayton Chrisp, and wife, Heather, of Stroud; Granddaughter, Courtney Cornett, and husband, David, of Stroud; and, her beloved great-grandchildren, Hayleigh, Braxton, Brynlee, Alex, Landon, Addie, Cody, Cash, and Austin, along with numerous nieces, nephews and other family members, as well as cherished life-long friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband Bob Trout, parents LeRoy and Margurite Hayter, and Brothers Don Hayter and Jim Hayter.
