Marcella June (Landes) Wheeler passed from this life on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at her home with family by her side at the age of 85. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home.

Marcella, better known as June, was born on October 31, 1938, to Guy and Agnes (Smat) Landes in Garfield County, OK.  She grew up and attended school in Billings, graduating in the class of 1956.  After high school, June attended Oklahoma A&M for two years.  She worked as a secretary before falling for Charles F. Wheeler, Jr., a United States Marine.  They married on June 3, 1959, at the Base Chapel on Nellis AFB in Las Vegas, Nevada and to this union four children were born: Charles A. Wheeler, Corinna June Brewer, Roderick  Wade Wheeler, and Bartley Bryon Wheeler.

The family moved a lot throughout the years.  June worked as a substitute teacher before becoming a preacher's wife in 1986, after the couple moved to Tryon, OK and took up the Ministry.

June had a hobby farm and loved working with fowls of all kinds.  She enjoyed gardening and doing the Lord's work through her church.

June was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.  She will be missed by all who knew her.

June is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wheeler; parents, Guy and Agnes (Smat) Landes; two brothers, David and Eldon Landes; two sisters-in-law, Patsy and Marcia Landes; one brother-in-law, Randall Bellmon.

June is survived by her four children and one sister, Joyce Agnes Bellmon.  June was blessed with 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing, Oklahoma funeral service will be from 4PM – 8PM on Thursday, December 21.  Funeral services for June will be at 2PM on Friday, December 22 at the Christian Church in Billings, Oklahoma.
