Obituary

Kameo ReLyn Genilee Cole-Nation passed peacefully from this life on September 13, 2022, in Sapulpa, Oklahoma at the age of 35.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing.

Kameo was born on April 4, 1987, to proud parents Godfrey Cole and Carmelita Phillips in Enid, Oklahoma. She grew up in Enid graduating from Pioneer High School with the Class of 2006. Kameo loved traveling amongst the brethren, and while on one of those trips at the age of 12, she was baptized into the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn by her father. After losing her father in 2007, she looked to her brother Ashzreal as her spiritual father and counselor.

In 2009, Kameo traveled to Indiana and began dating Bro. Tylor Nation.  He proposed in February of 2011, and they were married on June 12, 2011, at the Church of the Firstborn in Enid, OK. On August 5, 2012, they welcomed their daughter Jaiya.  Kameo loved photography and took many photos of family and sunsets, but after Jaiya was born, she stole the lens, and all the focus was on her.

Kameo had friends from coast to coast, there probably wasn't a person that forgot her once they'd met her.  God gave her a voice to praise Him, and she never passed up an opportunity to sing with the brethren.  She loved reading the bible and seeking out the Lord to walk more closely to Him. She loved having company and feeding the brethren in her home.  She was so caring and thoughtful, always remembering birthdays and names of people she'd only just met. Kameo loved her family and was so strongly bonded to them, talking to her mother and sisters daily on the phone. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend and will be greatly missed by many.

She is preceded in death by her father, Godfrey Cole; grandparents, Morris and Geneva Phillips, and Alfred Cole Jr.; special great grandmother, Clara Balloon; uncle, Charles Shaver; aunt, Yvonne Gilbert; and special cousins, GeNora Gilbert, Whitney Ude, and Karla Ude.

Kameo is survived by her husband Tylor and daughter Jaiya of the home; mother, Carmelita Phillips; siblings, Preston and Amber Cole, Ashzreal and Kayla Cole, Ariana and Caleb Dobbs, Jericha and Evan Branham, Leah and Matt VanHooser, Keanu and Kristen Phillips, and Ke'Lea Phillips; uncles and aunts, Darrell (Ray) Shaver, Darlene Shaver, Yolanda Ude, Tisha Cole, Kim Monroe, Debra Norwood, Stephanie Howard, Ginger Cole, and Jeffrey Cole; grandmother, Dorothy Cole; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, brethren, and friends.
